The South
Dakota
Soybean Association and the Virginia Soybean
Association
were selected as the northern and southern hosts to
showcase agricultural production in their states as part of the
Regional Exchange and Awareness Program (REAP).
The American Soybean Association has partnered again with the
United Soybean Board to be able to offer this unique program to
our growers.
"The REAP program is a unique
and educational opportunity for growers to experience the
agriculture, industry and farming practices of another region,
as well as get a taste of local food, history and attractions," said ASA
President Johnny Dodson. "Thanks to the United Soybean Board
for partnering
with ASA on REAP and the South Dakota and Virginia Soybean Associations for
graciously hosting soybean producers this year."
The southern
REAP tour will be held on July 27-31, 2009, and the northern REAP tour is
scheduled for August 11-15, 2009. See below for agenda.
