Regional Exchange & Awareness Program (REAP)

The Iowa Soybean Association and the Mid-Atlantic Soybean Association were selected as the northern and southern hosts to showcase agricultural production in their states as part of the Regional Exchange and Awareness Program (REAP). The American Soybean Association has partnered again with the United Soybean Board to be able to offer this unique program to our growers.

"The REAP tour is a valuable educational opportunity for ASA members. This program is a chance for current and emerging leaders to build relationships and share ideas, while learning about farming practices unique to a region other than their own," said ASA President Rob Joslin. "ASA is grateful to the United Soybean Board for partnering with ASA on this program and to the Iowa and Mid-Atlantic Soybean Associations for acting as hosts this year."

ASA thanks the sponsors:

Photos from the 2009 REAP Tour:

All farmer-leaders come away from these tours with new friends, new information and a new awareness of agriculture in different states.

The American Soybean Association has offered this popular program to farmer-leaders since 1991. REAP tours give producers a unique opportunity to make new friends with growers from different growing regions of the country, to exchange information with each other and to further develop producer knowledge and skills.

The REAP program also helps U.S. soybean producers to build the relationships necessary to maintain a strong and proactive voice on behalf of farm-related legislative priorities in Washington, D.C.
