Precision Ag Grower Education Meeting
Morton, Minn., July 17, 2007

 
Minnesota Soybean Producers Association immediate past-President Bob Worth welcomed growers to the meeting. American Soybean Association Board member Gary Joachim described how precision ag is helping to meet global demand for U.S. soy.
John Deere AMS Regional Specialist Jason Schildroth provided growers with the latest information on the John Deere GreenStar system. University of Minnesota Precision Ag Specialist Jose Hernandez provided an overview on the status and and future of precision ag.

There were 58 participants at the Morton meeting to learn more about precision ag systems.

 

Panel discussion included Ronald Tersteeg (blue shirt speaking), Peter Kramer (gray shirt) and
Scott Chesnut (check shirt), who were each selected as winners in the "Reach for the Stars" contest. John Beadell (wearing the cap) of Kibble Equipment is the local John Deere dealer in Wabasso, Minn.

Following the presentations, growers had an opportunity to see demonstrations of the John Deere GreenStar system including a ride in a GreenStar equipped tractor (background).

The American Soybean Association (ASA) hosted this educational meeting in partnership with John Deere Ag Management Solutions (AMS) to provide growers with a unique event to learn about the value of precision ag systems.
