ASA Congressional Soyfoods Lunch

SoyPAC

The annual Congressional Soyfoods Lunch on Capitol Hill is an ideal forum for the American Soybean Association (ASA) and sponsoring partners to showcase products and demonstrate the importance of soyfoods to sound nutrition. Legislators, congressional staff, Executive Branch agency representatives, industry representatives, ASA directors and state farmer-leaders attend.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2011, the American Soybean Association (ASA) hosted the Ninth Annual Congressional Soyfoods Lunch on Capitol Hill. For more than an hour, a steady stream of hungry guests flowed in two lines filling their plates with a variety of soyfoods. House Ag Committee Ranking member Collin Peterson (D-MN), Representative Bob Gibbs (R-OH) and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) were among the approximately 350 guests this year.

Media participation included AgriPulse editor Sara Wyant and Senior Editor Stewart Doan. Guests were treated to a buffet that included: Solae Beef Primavera; Dilly Carrot Soup with Plenish™ Oil; Caprese Salad with Soybean Walnut Pesto; Chocolate Pudding Pies made with tofu; Soy Toffee Bars; Soy Joy and Soy Apple Chai Latte.

The Soyfoods Lunch is an enjoyable way to let people know about soy and help make a difference for the soy industry. ASA thanks the following partners for their sponsorship:
