| This is a program that was
begun in 2006 in an effort to acclimate new ASA Board
members to national service. It is a four-hour program
held in conjunction with the ASA Board meeting in St.
Louis, Missouri in December.
The purpose of new Board
member orientation is to build a new Board member’s
understanding of his/her role and responsibilities as a
national Board member.
All new Board members
receive a reference manual that includes pertinent
information about the American Soybean Association and its
policies, programs and procedures.
All new Board members
will receive a mentor for one year. This mentor will
share his/her knowledge and help the new member to become
a strong participant. |
