ASA Achievement Awards Conservation Legacy

ASA Seeking Nominations
For 2012 Awards

The American Soybean Association (ASA) is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Special Meritorious Award, Lifetime Achievement Award (Membership Focus), and the Lifetime Achievement Award (Association Focus). All nominations must be in writing and received no later than Friday, Oct. 21, 2011. To nominate an ASA member, download a copy of the Award Nomination Form.

Send completed nominations to Byron Keelin, ASA Leadership and Policy Education Manager, at bkeelin@soy.org or fax to (314) 576-2786. Members of the ASA Membership and Corporate Relations Committee will make the final selection at the December ASA Board meeting in St. Louis. The awards will be presented at the ASA Awards Banquet, scheduled for Friday, March 2, during Commodity Classic in Nashville, Tenn., March 1-3, 2012.

In 2011, Walter Fehr, professor and soybean breeding researcher at Iowa State University, received the Special Meritorious Award. Gary Appel of Enfield, Ill. received the Lifetime Achievement Award (Membership Focus) and ASA past-President Ron Heck received the Lifetime Achievement Award (Association Focus).
