Board Director Training for
State Soybean Associations
Serving on a Board of Directors is an important
responsibility. The ASA State Board Director Training program is
a customized education program for State Board members that develops
essential skills needed to work productively as they become more dynamic
leaders and spokespeople for the soybean industry. This training is
essential to strengthen and impact agricultural policy at the state and
national levels.
This one-day seminar is designed to work with state
directors about the roles and responsibilities of an association board,
the role of committees, how the board is organized and how to plan
strategically in order to fulfill future association objectives. The
program is interactive, dynamic and lively.
In 2008-09 the following states
participated in this training: Kentucky, South Carolina, Michigan,
Kansas, Ohio, Nebraska, Arkansas and North Dakota.
The ASA State Board Director Training Program is sponsored
by Monsanto and marks its 12th year as a board leadership program. For more information, contact ASA Corporate Relations Manager
