Ron Kindred, a soybean producer from Atlanta, Illinois, is Vice President of the American Soybean Association. He has served on the ASA Membership & Corporate Relations Committee for two years, Trade Policy & International Affairs Committee one year, Farm Bill Task Force for one year, and the Soy Transportation Coalition for one year. He has also served on the Commodity Classic Committee for two years.

For the Illinois Soybean Association, Kindred has held several positions including, Secretary for two years, Vice President for two years, and Legislative Chairman for four years. He joined the Illinois Soybean Association in 1988.

In addition to 450 acres of soybean, Kindred also raises 550 acres of corn and alfalfa and manages a small beef cow/calf operation.

He has also participated in other activities such as the Illinois Department of Ag 2002 Farm Bill Task Force, Illinois Department of Ag Grain Insurance Fund Task Force, Logan County Farm Bureau Director for nine years, East Lincoln Farmers Grain Company Director for 12 years and President for five years.

His hobbies and special interests are golf, water skiing, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, Illinois and Illinois State University Basketball.

He is a graduate from Atlanta High School and has attended Illinois State University, and has participated in the Syngenta Leadership At Its Best Program, Soybean Leadership College, and GrowMark Leadership Conference.
