John Hoffman, President

John Hoffman, a farmer from Waterloo, Iowa, is President of the American Soybean Association (ASA). He is one of nine soybean growers who make up the ASA Executive Committee.

Hoffman has served as First Vice President and as Chairman of ASA's Public Affairs, and Membership & Corporate Relations committees. ASA committees that Hoffman has served on in the past include Membership & Corporate Relations, Investment, Audit, and Public Affairs.

A member of the Iowa Soybean Association since 1989, Hoffman was President of his state association in 2001-2002 and treasurer in 2000-2001.

In addition, he serves as Chair of the American Oilseed Coalition and has been a Black Hawk Soil & Water District Commissioner since 2000.

Hoffman farms  1,500 acres including 750 acres of soybeans annually on his farm. 

The American Soybean Association is a national, not-for-profit, grassroots membership organization that develops and implements policies to increase the profitability of its members and the entire soybean industry.

The American Soybean Association was founded in 1920.
