Farm Description: Mary and I raise barley, wheat, navy beans,
soybeans, sugar beets and corn on 1,100 acres in the Red River Valley of
North Dakota. Our farm was started by Mary’s father in 1944. Our son, Joe,
is a 3rd generation farmer and now lives on the original farmstead. He’s
looking forward to getting married on September 17th, which will be our
33rd wedding anniversary. Our son, Jason, is a horse farrier and helps
with the farming when needed. We all live within 2 miles of each other but
live in three different townships – Amenia, Casselton and Rush River. We
are blessed to have been able to raise our boys close to their
grandparents, in the farm lifestyle, and we enjoy seeing them continue in
that tradition.
