Farm Description:
I am a fourth
generation corn/soybean farmer in Omro Township in the county of Yellow
Medicine. My great grandfather immigrated from Leimbach, Germany to start
farming in southwest Minnesota. I am a lifelong farmer with an educational
background in agronomy from South Dakota State University. I am currently
the president of the Yellow Medicine County Soybean Association and a
member of the National Corn Growers Association. Religious organizations
that I am involved with are being president of a fraternal Catholic Aid
society, church usher and secretary of the Men’s Club, which consists of
male members of the Church of St. Leo that are concerned for the future of
the church. In my spare time I am also the town clerk for the township of
Omro.
