Farm Description: Ours is a small family farm which encompasses my father, my wife and me. Together we farm about 2,000 acres, run a 300 head cow/calf operation, and own and operate two swine units. My wife and I own one swine unit and have a 1/3 interest in the row crop acres and cows. Susan is key in maintaining balance and organization on not only the farm but in our family as well. She plays a vital role in the care and well being of the livestock and plays a key role in planting, spraying and harvesting. She also handles the various day to day tasks and issues while maintaining a successful household, which entails our two very active children.
