Farm Description: Our family
farm partnership has evolved over the years from Mike and his dad Walter,
to Mike, David and Peggy. We farm around 5500 acres in four different
counties surrounding our home in Warren County in
southwest Ohio. We own 310 of those acres. At least 2400 acres are
in roundup-ready soybeans each year. Our biggest challenge is the extreme
urban-rural interface in southwest Ohio--we
have 65+ landlords to deal with and moving equipment through
suburban traffic is stressful to say the least. Mike, Peggy
and David are all proud graduates of the Ohio
State Ag Leadership program (L.E.A.D.). Mike has
served on the Ohio Soybean Council and the National Biodiesel
Board.
